High School Student Scholarships
The Strathmore Lions Club sponsors five scholarships for local high school students. The Lion Gordon Prusky Scholarships are given each year to individuals enrolled in Grades 10, 11 and 12. These awards were set up in 2007 to honor Gordon’s fifty years as a Lion.
Two other awards stem from the millennium initiative of the Lions of Alberta Foundation in the year 2000 that was designed to establish a Lion scholarship at every high school in the province. Accordingly, the Strathmore Lions Club makes this award available to Grade 12 students in both
